Tom and I have both put on a little weight over the past three months.   We have both resolved to eat healthier and drop a few pounds in 2009.  We both want to lose about 20 pounds.  AND, since misery loves company, we have started Club Chunk.

After I did, I went home and gave my Marley (AKA “Connor”) a

big hug and then took a few pictures… The first one was taken the

day my daughter Megan and I brought him home.  By the way,

it was taken in the same chair as the others! We still fight for

that chair!

I have a feeling that Yellow Labs will become a very popular breed

over the next few weeks and I can tell you from experience, they’re

one of the best dogs you could ever own!  :-)  Peaker

A traffic surveillance camera on a busy Santiago, Chili freeway captured images of a dog trotting past speeding cars to pull the body of another dog, fatally struck by a vehicle, away from the traffic, to the median strip. 

HIghways crews removed the dead dog and the hero canine from the median strip but the hero dog ran away.

Authorities said images of the rescue prompted some people to call and offer to adopt the dog, but neither highway workers not TV crews have been able to find the dog.

I thought I would share with you KOOL-ers.  My son and I participated in the Mad Mud Run this past Saturday.  It was 4 miles of running and boot camp-like obstacles.  My son, Hayden, runs track in school.  I, on the hand, haven’t run outside since high school.
